This project involved replacing a rotten external sill and restoring a pair of timber French doors affected by water ingress and heat loss. The decayed sill was removed and a new hardwood sill installed with proper flashing for long‑term protection. The doors were repaired, re‑puttied with linseed putty, and fully draught‑proofed before being refitted and aligned. The opening is now weather‑tight, energy‑efficient, and restored to its original character.
